Voyce virtual interpretation project wins Grand Prix Hippocrate 2024

An industry-changing initiative that began as a pilot project at CLSC de Parc-Extension was awarded the  Grand Prix Hippocrate for 2024 by the organization’s jury members.

On October 17, hundreds gathered at the St-James Theatre for the Gala du Prix Hippocrate to celebrate multidisciplinary teams who implement transformative initiatives in the health and social services field. CIUSSS West-Central Montreal’s Voyce project offers healthcare providers an on-demand virtual interpretation service so that they can communicate with users from our CIUSSS’s diverse catchment, who may have limited or no knowledge of French or English. Voyce is now being used in 40 different services at the Jewish General Hospital, and continues to grow, ensuring accessibility, quality and equity of care for thousands of our users.
