JGH hosting experts and thought-leaders from around the world during sold-out international summit

From April 17-19, the Value-Based Health Care (VBHC) Summit of the Americas ( vbhcsummit.com) is taking place at the Jewish General Hospital. This prestigious, three-day international summit is co-presented by Expertise Valeur en Sante, Mak Valor & CIUSSS West-Central Montreal.

Opening day features exclusive visits to the CIUSSS’s Command Centre (C4), Connected Health Record lab, Segal Cancer Centre and more.

An impressive roster of international speakers and panelists will present on Day 2, including renowned professor and international speaker, Elizabeth Teisberg (Executive Director of the Value Institute for Health and Care, University of Texas at Austin), who will explore how healthcare will be redefined in 2024.

Dr. Lawrence Rosenberg (President and CEO of CIUSSS West-Central Montreal), will also share his vision for VBHC transformation in Quebec. Erin Cook, (Director of Quality, Transformation, Evaluation, Value, Clinical & Organizational Ethics, and Virtual Care for CIUSSS West-Central Montreal), will discuss the VBHC initiatives taking place within our CIUSSS. Karine Lepage (CIUSSS Clinical Coordinator) will take part in a panel discussion on the implementation and scaling-up of value-based health care.

What is value-based health care? The person-centered concept focuses on quality of care, provider performance and the patient experience. This is directly aligned with CIUSSS West-Central Montreal’s philosophy of Care Everywhere, which emphasizes the delivery of the right care at the right time, with the right outcomes in whichever location is most appropriate, safest and most convenient for the recipients of health care and social services.
