The pneumococcus is a bacterium that causes various infections, and it is the primary cause of pneumonia for people aged 65 and older. Receiving the vaccine reduces the risk of contracting the disease and lowers the chance of developing complications.
Who can receive the vaccine?
- People aged 65 and older.
- People aged 2 to 64 with certain health conditions.
- Adults 18 and older who want to reduce their risk, unless they have already received the Pneu-C-20 vaccine.

Although some services are offered on a walk-in basis, we strongly advise you to schedule an appointment.
- 6 years and older: With or without appointment (depending on capacity).
- Under 6 years: By appointment only.
An appointment can be made on Clic Santé or at 514-734-9911, option 3.
What to bring
- Your medicare card (if you have one) or your IFH (Interim Federal Health Program) document. If you don’t have a medicare card, bring an ID card.
- Your vaccination record.
