Short-term psychiatric intervention unit (UIB-P)

Who are the UIB-P’s services for?

The UIB-P offers short-term hospitalization for people experiencing an acute mental health episode and who need a short-term response that promotes their rapid return to the community through an interdisciplinary intervention program. The UIB-P unit has 4 beds.

Intervention plan

The intensive intervention plan focuses on the individual’s strengths and protective factors. Its aim is to stabilize the individual’s condition and help them to return to their work and social roles as quickly as possible. The UIB-P’s mission is to improve the quality of care while reducing the length of hospital stays.
