Mission
This primary care service aims to offer education, psychotherapy, and psycho-educational and psychosocial interventions using a family, systemic and transcultural approach.
Who is it for?
- Children and adolescents (aged 0–17) with a mental health diagnosis or symptoms of a mental disorder, and their families and friends
Specific services provided by the Youth Mental Health Team
The team provides numerous services, including:
- Psychosocial needs assessment
- Individual and/or family follow-up (at the CLSC, in the community or at home, depending on the needs of the young person and the family)
- Therapy groups for young people and/or their parents on anxiety (HORS-PISTE program), symptoms of depression (Blues program), the parent-adolescent relationship (Connect group for parents)
- Specialized services referral
- Referral to appropriate resources

Many of our professionals are psychotherapists as well.
The team works closely with the school system and with partners in the community.
Ask for help
- Are you worried about your mental health or that of someone close to you?
- Are you feeling depressed, anxious, confused, exhausted, aggressive, in distress?
- Have you noticed a significant change in your thoughts, moods or behaviour?
- Do you need help after experiencing a difficult event (disaster, family crisis, separation, loss of a loved one, victim of violence, etc.)?
Go to the psychosocial reception desk at your CLSC or call Info-Social at 8-1-1, option 2 (24 hours a day).
A counsellor will direct you to the programs best suited to your needs.
