The Psychiatry Department of the Jewish General Hospital invites you to take part in an eye-opening virtual event: the 20th anniversary edition of the highly-respected Utting Lecture Series. Hosted by CBC's Catherine Verdon-Diamond, the event welcomes former Montreal Canadiens’ star Stéphane Richer as he shares stories of his personal journey. The President of the Douglas Utting Foundation, Tim Utting joins us virtually to offer the history of the foundation - and to present the 2021 Utting Medal.
The impressive list of notable guests from across Canada will dispel the shadows around mental health, depression, suicide awareness and so much more. You'll hear from these professionals in the field of mood disorders:
- Dr. Karl Looper, Psychiatrist-in-Chief, Jewish General Hospital
- Dr. Raymond Lam, Professor and B.C. Leadership Chair in Depression Research, Faculty of Medicine, University of British Columbia
