The Quebec Observatory on Caregiving is a hub for the production and transfer of reliable, essential and relevant knowledge aimed at raising awareness and fostering a recognition of caregiving in order to better support all stakeholders.
Established in 2020 by the Act to recognize and support caregivers, the Observatory has been mandated to provide reliable and objective information on caregiving through observation, monitoring, analysis and knowledge sharing.
The Observatory assembles, produces and disseminates a wide range of accessible, user-friendly information to raise awareness, stimulate action, inform decision-making and fuel research aimed at improving the lives of caregivers.
Its development, coordination and administrative support has been entrusted to the CIUSSS West-Central Montreal by the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux (MSSS).
